In October 2021, Acostar had a Big Weekend!

The show was at the Belleville and District Kennel Club shows from October 22 to the 24th.

Here’s a cute photo of the dogs waiting to go into the ring…

Way to go Stella!

Our little girl Stella “Acostar’s Amber Waves of Grain” did very well at the shows. On Friday she won Winners Bitch, Best of Opposite sex, Best Puppy in Breed and went on to win a Best Puppy in Group. (Photo below). On the Sunday she won Winners Bitch for her first point.

Stella had loads of fun and was really beginning to enjoy the show scene on this her second weekend of showing ever.

And then there’s Tate

Tate, “Acostar’s Evans And Tate Moscato” needed 3 points to finish his Championship title this weekend.

On the Friday he picked up a point going Best of Winners for 1 point.

On Saturday he won only reserve so it was down to whatever he could pull off on the Sunday.

He won Winners Dog automatically because he was the only boy.

Stella won Winners Bitch so if Tate beat her, he would win 2 points and finish. That’s exactly what what he did and there was great celebration! Two of my dogs were up against each other, but I was ecstatic that Tate got the points and finished his Championship.

That’s the end of conformation showing for Tate for a few years until he matures and fills out.

Now onto Argus’s Achievements!

The greatest achievements of the weekend go to Argus “GrCH Acostar’s Hold My Beer”.

He won Best of Breed all three days and was awarded 2 group 3rds and 1 group 4th. He showed absolutely beautifully and we are so proud of him.

This moved Argus up to the #5 PWD in Canada and he earned 18 points towards his Grand Champion Bronze title. He finished 2021 the #6 highest PWD in Canada, but he is going to take 2022 off.

He will return to the show ring in 2023 where he will be seriously campaigned.

To Sum It All Up

The weekend in Belleville was great fun and Sydney Robinson worked extremely hard grooming and presenting the dogs. She is a true professional who is dedicated to her craft, and she does an impeccable job. Thank you Sydney and thank you to everyone who helped get all these dogs shown. It takes a village!
