Happy New Year everyone! I hope everyone had a great Christmas and holiday season.
I know it’s 2024, but I would like to close out Acostar’s achievements in 2023 and celebrating our latest 3 Portuguese waterdog championships.
Here goes…
Introducing Oslo
Oslo completed his CKC Championship very quickly in just two show weekends. He won 4 Best of Winners and one Winners Dog for a quick and easy show career.
He is co-owned and loved by Lisanne and is now living happily with his family doing fun dog stuff. Watch for future updates about him becoming an available stud dog.
Next Up Is Argus
Argus continues to be a rock star in the show ring! He had all the required points for a championship for what feels like forever, we just couldn’t get him entered in shows with majors! So, he attended a couple of AKC dog shows over the summer to get those elusive majors he’s been chasing.
- At the Sammamish Kennel Club shows in Enumclaw WA he won Best of Opposite over specials for a 5 point major.
- Then he attended the PWDCA National Specialty where he showed his heart out and came in 4th in his class.
- Then at the Valencia Valley Kennel Club shows in Albuquerque NM, Argus won Best of Opposite again for a 4 point major, finally completing his AKC Championship!

And Here Comes Pepper
Pepper, ”Acostar’s Flaming Doctor Pepper” finished her CKC Grand Championship title at the United Kennel Club shows in St Lazare in October. She beat her dam, Julep, two of the three shows going Best of Opposite for her final two points.
Congratulations Pepper!
