keke_newsIt has been a most thrilling week-end here at Acostar and we would like to announce a NEW CKC CHAMPION! Our girl Oreobay Keke Beach Acostar “Keke” went Best of Breed all three days at the Calgary Kennel and Obedience Club shows under Judges Edward Wild, Janet Lobb, and Laurence Stanbridge. Mr. Stanbridge liked her so much he went on to give Keke Best Puppy in Group! We were ecstatic. She went into these shows with 5 points and with these wins she accumulated another 6 giving her the necessary 10 points for her Championship (with one extra for good measure J). She enjoys showing so much that we have decided to show her as a special for a while and see how she does. Watch for her at the Canadian and American National Specialties this year!
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude once again to Nigel J Clark of Oreobay PWD’s for entrusting us with this beautiful precious girl and appreciation to Tammy Sawatzky for her excellent handling and to Natasha Humeston for the amazing job she did grooming Keke.

Now for an update on the puppies.
They turned 7 weeks old today and they are truly a wonderful litter. They are the quietest, friendliest, most confident and outgoing litter we have bred so far and we couldn’t be happier with them. They have all found wonderful homes and will start leaving to join their new families far too soon.

We do not plan to have another litter for at least a year as we all need a well deserved rest so look for the next litter announcement in the early spring of 2009!
